Prerequisites: none
Objectives:
- to teach the basic behaviors of sit, down, stay, walk on a leash and to come when
called
- to teach the dog how to perform these behaviors under a variety of distracting
circumstances such as
- food on the floor, dogs in close proximity, toys on the floor etc.
- to teach the dog self control and attention under distraction
- to create a mannerly dog that is a joy to have in the house and in your family
Location: At our training hall on Victoria street south
What should you bring to class?
- Please wear attire appropriate for working with your dog. Flat shoes are
recommended as there is a
little bit of running involved in the class.
- A nylon or leather leash (4 or 6 foot leash are fine to bring to class)
- Your dog should wear a flat buckle collar (or a martingale collar)
- Any Loose leash walking device your dog normally wears (ie Gentle Leader, Halti,
harness etc.)
- Please do NOT bring choke chains to class
- Please do NOT bring flexi leashes to class
- Approximately 2 cups of high value treats (rollover, freeze dried liver, cheese,
dried chicken or beef)
- A hungry dog (it is recommended that you do not feed your dog before coming to
class)

- Montessaurus Kinderpuppy class
- Manners for the Modern Dog 1
- An equivalent class from another dog school
- Before starting this class your dog should be able to sit, lie down, stay, come
when called and walk on a leash.
Objectives:
- to begin teaching dogs the ability to focus and work with you when they are not
on leash.
- to build on the lessons learned in manners for the modern dog 1 or puppy class
- build on the basic behaviors of sit, down, stay, walk on a leash and to come when
called while
the dogs work off leash
- to teach the dog how to perform off leash under a variety of distracting
circumstances such as food on the floor,
dogs in close proximity, toys on the floor etc.

Objectives:
- to introduce dogs and their owners to the fun and exciting dog sport of agility
- to introduce the dogs to agility equipment and teach them how to do the obstacles
safely
- to build on the lessons learned in manners for the modern dog 1, manners 2 or
puppy class
- to build on the basic obedience behaviors of sit, down and stay in the context of
the sport of agility
Location: At our training hall on Victoria street south

Objectives
- Walk nicely on a loose leash around the streets of Guelph
- Teach the dog how to maintain attention on their owner in high activity settings.
- To teach the dog how to ignore other dogs and people
Description
Class will be held outside and will consist of an hour long walk around the streets of
Guelph. Emphasis will be placed on self control on the part of the dog under high
distraction settings. Class is limited to 6 dogs. This class is designed for dogs that
have had some obedience.
Location
All classes will start from the corner of Kathleen Street and London Street (by
Exhibition Park). Pre-registration for the course is required.
